Dear Entertainer,
I do hope that you are faring well. I imagine that as the time to come home draws closer, it must be so challenging to remain cheerful. But I commend your patience during this long wait. My dear Mel says that by the time this letter reaches you, there will be less than three months remaining until you are safely returned home. We are already preparing for a little soirée to welcome you home.
Be warned though, I do believe that Frank has volunteered to oversee the musical portion of the evening. From the way he is talking, he already has three different musical lists to choose from, depending on ‘how he feels the night is progressing’. Heaven help us all. He has already mentioned songs like, ‘Born free’, ‘Party in the U.S.A.’, ‘Take me home country roads’, ‘Since you’ve been gone’ and some absolutely bizarre melody that apparently is call the ‘Goo Goo Muck.’ I couldn’t even begin to tell you what that is supposed to be about.
Zeke is offering to ‘Walk the Jericho’ around the property in advance as the party approaches. Of course he is also intending to pray over the meal at the time of the soirée. I am sure that Zeke will not be walking the Jericho alone as I know my dear Mel always makes a point of praying over the different events that we host here at the Whispering Inkwell.
Colt is talking about wrangling the boys up to do some hardcore yard work in the coming weeks. I am hoping that the estate will shine like never before by the time you arrive.
To take some of the weight off of my dear Mel, I will be overseeing many of the coming preparations and helping coordinate the different tasks on my dear Mel’s master list of everything that must be done prior to the day of the soirée. So, you needn’t fret, I am sure that we will have everything well in hand before the day arrives.

P.S. Harmony passes on her most sincere regards. She wanted to be here to get her letter out, but apparently there was a monsoon in Thailand and her flight has been suspended until the weather clears. Thankfully the telegraph? Email? Some kind of system is still up and working so she was able to get a message out to us.
