Greetings!
Hey buddy! Been thinking about you. I hear that you’ve been sounding a little brighter lately and I am so glad to hear it. Hang onto that, you don’t sound like yourself without it.
I’m not sure when you’ll get this letter. I know your Ma tries to space everyone out a little bit so that you get a chance to hear from a few different people in every Set of letters. The real challenge I think for her is having to dictate the letters for everyone. It’s a real shame that we haven’t found a way to
phase fully with the technology here. That would open up a whole new level of opportunities for us. Hopefully one of these days, Muriel will find a way to make that happen. Although, if she ever did, I’m not sure this world is ready for a face to face meeting with Frank. Am I wrong here? LMAO.
Speaking of Frank…I heard today that Frank had a bit of a typical Frank adventure. He had gone to town with The Kindred Spirit and The Gentleman who were out running errands. They were at the very last stop when they saw a rather unexpected sight. There in the parking lot was a jeep. (Not the unexpected part.) The jeep itself was a bit distinctive in the fact that it was camouflage, and not a military vehicle either. But what made it so surprising was that apparently in the passenger side of said jeep was a full sized, glow in the dark green, skeleton. The Kindred Spirit barely had the car parked before Frank was out the door and running straight towards it. Before they even found themselves out of the car, Frank was already inside the jeep. By the time they walked over to the jeep, Frank had one arm wrapped around the unsuspecting skeleton, had placed a little straw hat that he had found on the dashboard on it’s head and was hollering, ‘Quick! Somebody get a picture!’ In the vague hopes that it would get him out of the jeep quicker, The Kindred Spirit quickly snapped a picture of Frank and his apparently new best friend. Who he had apparently decided to call Richard.
After they finally got Frank out of the jeep and away from Richard, then they got subjected to an hour and half of Frank’s speculations about how that skeleton came to be in that jeep and whether or not the owners would be open to being interviewed about how they came into possession of Richard and why they had left him alone in the car so long that he died, decayed and subsequently turned green. I’m pretty sure that somewhere along the way, The Gentleman ditched both Frank and The Kindred Spirit, only to remake an appearance right before it was time to leave the store.
Upon hearing about this tale, The Weaver-Scribe began to lament the unfairness of the world, that he would be stuck as a clinical assistant and unable to gather appropriate data as he had once again missed a ‘Frank moment’ ‘in the wild.’ I could totally picture him there, standing in the parking lot with a a pen and clipboard, just ready to document a ‘Frank moment’ in action. I will say this though. I couldn’t entirely blame him. I wouldn’t have minded being there to see it myself.
I hope you got a kick out of hearing about Frank and Richard the skeleton. Nothing breaks up a long day quite like hearing the latest Frank fiasco if you ask me. Helps you remember if nothing else, that God really does have a heck of a sense of humor.
Catch you on the flip side,
Steve
