When I first started thinking about the concept of why should we love, my initial thought was, ‘Because God says so.’ But then I realized that there is a far more pertinent reason why we should love. We should love, because LOVE CHOSE US. Love made us.
‘“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, And before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.” ‘

before our lives even started, God knew us.
‘For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from You,When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth; Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; And in Your book were all written The days that were ordained for me, When as yet there was not one of them.’

Before we were even born, God knew us. He knew who we were going to be and what mistakes we were going to make. He knew what weaknesses we were going to have. He knew all of the little dark and dirty things that would make us be and feel unworthy of God’s love and forgiveness. He knew all of this before we were even thought of, let alone created in human flesh. And He CHOSE to make us anyway. He gave us an assignment to walk in anyway. God knew all of this and HE still CHOSE us. Love chose us.
