So, not a Benadryl fog

As it turns out, it wasn’t the Benadryl that was keeping my poor brain in a hazy condition for the last two weeks. Although I’m sure at first that benadryl had a hand in it, it was not what kept me hazy for the last several days since discharge. Someone, somewhere, dropped the ball. Like, with a giant crash. Possibly more than once. As it turns out, the antibiotics I am on have been reacting with several other meds I was already on, and I was steadily getting worse. Apparently 2 of the meds are never supposed to be taken together at all, two more were strongly suggested against, and I was getting all of them during the time I was in the hospital, as well as taking them all at home. Until… Saturday when I went to pick up a more local fill of the antibiotic and they wouldnt give it to me. That is, until I agreed to discontinue the other meds for the duration of the antibiotic. Which I of course agreed to, seeing as how my intention is to go on living. After all this it would be really annoying to die of an infection. Can’t you just imagine that gravestone? Here lies Melissa, she survived multiple cancers, and all the other crap life threw at her, died of a post op infection. I for one, would be pretty disgusted….. Anyway, back on topic, I had to stop the other meds to take the antibiotic. Which has been rougher than I was hoping for, but whatcha going to do?
