So far blogging seems to me to be compared to writing a review on a pile of puzzle pieces without the box as a reference. You know the pieces all come together to show you the entire picture, but in that moment, all you can see is a pile of loose puzzle pieces. One by one you pick them up and turn them right side up. You begin to sort them into similar patterns and colors and try to see the connections that fit each piece together. After awhile you get fed up with the sorting and you walk away, possibly regroup, grab a cup of coffee and a dove dark chocolate and eventually return to the puzzle. You stare at the pieces until your eyes about cross and start to blur, and then, just when all seems lost, you find a match. The two pieces come together in a perfect harmony and you feel a mid sense of accomplishment. A renewed drive to keep going, keep looking for pieces to come together. And the cycle begins. Many hours, days, weeks, ect., later, after consuming countless cups of coffee, and chocolates, having bloodshot eyes and a weary brain you stare down at the outer ring of the puzzle. The outer edge smooth and clean. Ready to be filled in. Blogging seems similar to me. Trying to find that initial connection, pulling from different aspects of life to form the outer shell of an idea and then fleshing it out and bringing the image of your story into view.
