Just One Rib

This morning I was thinking about the differences between men and women. Feeling aggravated by some of the men in my life and thinking about how men claim to be โ€˜so much simpler and less complexโ€™ than women. My frustration growing as I thought, โ€˜Why is this so hard? How can men and women be so different?โ€™ Then Adam and Eve sprung to my mind and I considered how Eve was made out of one of Adams ribs. They were made out of the same material, how could they be so different?

I lifted my thoughts to God, and began to pray and ask, โ€˜How can men and women be so different if woman was made out of a piece of man?โ€™ Then before I even got through โ€˜speakingโ€™, I had the answer in my mind, as clear as could be. โ€˜Because I only used one of Adams ribs, the rest of woman I made from scratch.โ€™

โ€˜Because I only used one of Adams ribs, the rest of woman I made from scratch.โ€™

Considering that I hadnโ€™t really been expecting to get a response, let alone one so quick and clear, caught me right off guard. But after a moment of processing, I couldnโ€™t help but think, โ€˜Dang, but that explains a lot!โ€™

After that I couldnโ€™t help but laugh and think, โ€˜I guess men and women really ARE almost different species.โ€™ Adams rib might be the piece that made them genetically compatible, but other than that, women really are something entirely different. Explains a lot doesnโ€™t it?
