Welcome To 2026!

Welcome to 2026! Once again a brand new year has arrived, full of renewed hope and possibilities. Will this finally be the year? What long awaited hopes and dreams will find fulfillment this year? What unexpected blessings will come our way? How is God going to move in our lives? What is our there waiting for us that we can’t even imagine right now? I can’t wait to find out.

I am so excited to see how God is going to move in this new year. I have hope that He is going to move in great and mighty ways that I can’t even imagine right now. I know that I have lots of ideas of how I would LIKE Him to move, but I can be flexible. Yes, for those who know me, I can be flexible. Sometimes. Lol. And in this case, I am choosing to be flexible and trust that whatever God has planned is going to be better and more than I could even ask for.

Last year I asked God in faith to increase our finances. I believed for an extra fifty dollars a week and I started preemptively including that money in my tithe. And although there was no miraculous addition to our income every week, despite some added expenses, we were still able to get our bills paid and paid on time. God has provided time and time again, as my dryer quit working, my stove started auditioning for a final destination movie and my freezer tried to take over my electric bill. He continued to provide as my water heater started leaking, when I had to have dental surgery and when the car tire went flat. He has showed up over and over in different ways and looking over my expenses, somehow, some way, He has made our money go farther than the fifty dollars a week I prayed for.

It wasn’t always easy. There were weeks where I struggled, wondering at times if He was going to follow through. But when that doubt tried to get a hold in my mind the same verse in Malachi would spring to my mind,

“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this,” says the Lord of hosts, “if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows.” -Malachi 3:10 NASB1995

It was almost like I could hear the words inside of my head, ‘Test Me now in this, if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows.’

It was almost like I could hear the words inside of my head, ‘Test Me now in this, if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows.’ Then, I would take a deep breath and say, ‘Ok. That’s good enough for me.’ I just held onto this promise every day, clinging to the knowledge that God has provided before and that He will provide again. And He did. In more ways than one. He brought blessings to our finances. He has continued working in my health. Last year I had less overall headache days and more days where I was able to function for longer in spite of having a headache at some point in the day, or all day. I have been able to get to a point of having way less crash days. Even a year or so ago, I would work on deep cleaning in a room and I would be done in for at least two days afterwards. The last couple of months I have been working on cleaning, sorting, purging, drywall (only a little bit.), plastering (some), and a bunch of other things at least 3-4 days per week. Often day after day. Only for a few hours mind you, but that’s so much more than I could do a year ago. I may not be able to do everything I want to do, but I am able to do more than I have been able to do in a long time. So yes, I am excited to see what God is going to do in this new year.

What new things might God have in store for you this year? A new job? A pay raise? A move? A new baby or grandbaby? Maybe some wonderful new relationships? Anything is possible. All we have to do is look to the One who makes the impossible possible.

“And looking at them Jesus said to them, “With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” -‭‭Matthew‬ ‭19‬:‭26‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬
