The Dino-Mite

Today, let me introduce you to my first grandson, our little Dino-Mite. Which he is really is. Rarely seen without a smile on his face, he is full of energy. I’m am already seeing seeing some serious character breaking through. He doesn’t quite know his audience but he’s working on it. A future Entertainer in training, lol. It’s crazy to think he’s already reached the age where he will be heading off to preschool this fall. Seems like just yesterday that he started walking. Seems like time just flies faster and faster every day.

Dino-Mite, as I’m sure you have probably figured out by now, loves dinosaurs. I think started learning the names of dinosaurs before he learned to speak in sentences. He got a real kick out of having one of those inflatable dinosaur rider costumes for Halloween last year. I can just picture him now, going up to little bushes so that his long neck dinosaur could have a little snack while they were out trick or treating.

The Dino-Mite is also a big fan of big trucks. Especially the kinds with flashing lights and sirens. If there is a siren to be heard you will find him, face pressed up to the window, just trying to get a peek of whatever emergency vehicle might be rushing by.

He is also a dog lover. Thankfully he has a pooch that has the patience of a saint and the need for a attention of a….well a dog really, lol. In a seriousness though, that dog is very patient. More so than my own dogs are when the Dino-Mite is here. I remember one time he was here and he kept laying on one of my labs. He would drape himself over her and then sort of slid off the other side. Over and over, until she was like, ‘Nope. We’re done here. Peace out.’ And she got up and just left the room. That was my needy dog. So you know if she’s done, the other two are just long gone at that point. But, as far as I know, his dog seems to be totally happy with being a resident jungle gym. Which suits our Dino-Mite just fine.
